In the local markets the people sell vegetables, delicious fruit, sea
food, clothes and the basic goods they need for living. Markets are not
only busy business places, but also social meeting points. For public
transportation they use bicycles, motorcycles, horse carts and trucks.
Some nice markets can be visited in Ampana and Wakai. Island Retreat provides
