Traditional way of living
At first glance, the people of Togian are mostly fishermen, although an closer inspection, a majority of them are coconut farmers. Almost all heads af family own a coconut field. Coconut cultivation is an attractive source of livelihood, since it is relatively time and labor-efficient leaving them extra time for fishing. Others have a small business in local markets.
